Who is behind Practice Standards Co?
Practice Standards Co was founded by a Registered Nurse and Director of Nursing with firsthand experience navigating NSQPCH accreditation in an Australian aesthetic primary care setting.
And then legislative requirements changed overnight. Understandably, some clinics were not playing by the rules and patient safety had to come first. But for those of us doing the right thing, it was still a scramble to get everything right. Our founder spent nine months rebuilding their clinic from the ground up: new policies, new procedures, a full building renovation, and every regulatory requirement applied meticulously to their own practice.
When it came time for accreditation, there were no practical resources to lean on. No guides written by someone who had actually done this. Just a very long standards document and a wish of good luck.
So they built the resources they wished had existed. Every product in this suite comes from real clinical experience, real accreditation preparation, and a genuine desire to make the process less overwhelming for Australian clinic owners and practice managers.
Built from real experience, not adapted from generic hospital-based frameworks
Written in plain language that your whole team can understand
Covers Clinical Governance, Partnering with Consumers, and Clinical Safety
Specific to Australian primary care: aesthetic clinics, GP practices, allied health, and community health centres
Accredited first attempt, all standards met, no further evidence required
Our resources were developed through a desktop assessment. However, the content is directly relevant across all four assessment models. Whether your clinic is preparing for a desktop-only assessment, a desktop plus virtual assessment, or a full on-site assessment, having your governance systems, policies, evidence, and documentation in exceptional order makes every stage significantly easier. The stronger your desktop preparation, the more confident you will be walking into any assessment.
